I am thankful; as I close my eyes
That God has blessed me with another day
I dwell upon today’s blessings
As I close my eyes... to pray
I am thankful for my family
They bestow… unconditional love
They guide me and protect me
Send prayers to my father above
I am thankful for the blessing of my son
He will always be within my heart
He is…… my pride and joy
A mother’s love do I impart
I am thankful for my friends
So many that I hold dear
They comfort and surround me
Their love… is always near
I am thankful for all those who’ve touched me
The ones God has brought into my life
No matter how seemingly insignificant
Their presence has always been right
For He always knows what is needed
Every soul has a purpose; they say
I am thankful He knows that I am here
And that He touches my heart every day
