Is a strong word
It precedes and follows times of impact
The “quiet” before the storm
Is an indication of how volatile the storm will be
In human nature; quiet may be
A time of preparation
A time of retrospect; meditation
A time of grief; respect
It may also be an indication
Of loneliness
Of alienation
Of hopelessness
Quiet should always be listened to
Quiet should be respected
In my life; quiet is an indication
To listen to my body
To listen for the answers to my prayers
I gain strength
Within those moments of quiet
I hear what God knows I need to hear
