He loves me…though daily I break His heart
Living my life centered on me; not on Him
Seeking His presence only to question
Why? Why me?... Yet He loves me
He loves me…as I seek pleasure within my world
Seeking success, treasure, and praise
His gifts He lies at my feet
I step past…yet He loves me
He loves me…as I allow anger to take my heart
Feeling justified; anger becomes a weapon
I point out the sin of others
With my own soiled hands…yet He loves me
He loves me…as I take each breath for granted
Journey from one day to the next
My destination: not toward Him
But toward “another day”…yet He loves me
He loves me…as I allow darkness into my life
It attempts to veil His light
To cloud my soul with doubt
I try to hide from Him…yet He loves me
He loves me…as He holds me in His arms
“I AM”… our Lord says…and I understand
I Am…..........His
My soul radiant in His eyes…and He loves me!
